He wants to Popper Penguin ...

Not sure if you've seen this, but you should have by now ... And if you HAVEN'T, then that's why I'M here! So it looks like Jim Carey is showing the 'Cable Guy' in himself with this rather creepy and uncomfortable video 'love letter', addressed to one Emma Stone.

It's Jim Carey, so ... ya know. He may just be trying to be funny, or it COULD be completely genuine, masked in comedic humor so he could just SORTA laugh it off and "get away with it"... Remember when he grabbed and made out with the then 20 year old Alicia Silverstone on stage at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards? ... hmmm ...  ... Either way, this is going to be one of the biggest celebrity born web memes of 2011, as the spoofs have already begun. (Dane Cook doesn't miss a BEAT, does he?)

Enjoy!

Not quite a "mop" and not quite a "puppet", but maaan ...

Do you remember the Muppet Babies? ... Yeah, neither do I. But it just so happens that I come upon this awesome, refreshingly original cartoon called Tiny Fuppets. "What are they?", you ask? It's pretty hard to say, and although the show is entirely in Portuguese, so there's no way you or I have EVER seen ANYTHING like it before, there remains something comfortably familiar about these little critters.

Brought to you by creator Arturo Lima, the Tiny Fuppets are brilliant on all the levels of satire that they are firing. Kids won't understand it. Not in a million years. And it's subtitled, so ... ya know. Be ready for THAT. But it's comedy gold and without a doubt the BEST thing that you've seen all day.

Check out the Intro:

You can follow the rest of their adorable adventures on Youtube (whatever THAT is) or see more of them at Tiny Fuppets

Ok, fine! ... You lazy bastard, here's one more

GTL: Gaining Twitter Loyalty on the Jersey Shore

Biggest reality show on TV!
Love it or hate it, there's really no comparison right now. And whether or not you number among the millions of viewers for MTV's hit series, Jersey Shore, you still know the names - Snooki ... The Situation ... Jwoww ...

But that being said, which of them really is the biggest "STAR"? Book deals, cameos, spin-offs, commercials, endorsements and Q-scores aside, these days its easy enough to just turn to Twitter for the answer. So in the case that you DON'T follow any of these guys, here's the quick rundown of which housemate fans want hear MOST from when the cameras stop rolling.

#1 - Snooki - 2,741,999 Followers
No surprises here, really. Snooki, for all her ... "limitations", is the top draw. And the story is that she's going to be featured on the next season of Dancing With the Stars on ABC. Good for her. She's my fave.

#2 - Pauly D - 1,828,351 Followers
This may be a bit of a surprise to some, but then again maybe not so much to others. Pauly, one of the LEAST detestable, and the laid back funnyman of the group, has the 2nd largest following of all of them. And word on the street is that he just joined G-Unit ... yes, THAT G-Unit. Truth be told, he actually IS a very good DJ, so he does have something to offer, musically ...

#3 - Jwoww - 1,548,873 Followers
Jenny came in as 3rd with the next highest amount of Twitter followers ... although it's really hard to figure out why ... I honestly don't know what she's got in store right now ... That book of hers came out already ... On the show she's in a "stable" relationship and has been relatively low-key ... *yawn*

#4 - Vinny - 1,520,423 Followers
Vinny ranking 4th place (and only a slim 30,000 followers back from 3rd) was kind of a surprise. Other than by actual fans of the show, he's the least recognizable of the lot ... aka - "the boring one" ... Or at least he WAS, till he carved his niche as "the most relatable" and "normal" one of the group, especially as we've seen more of his real life family on the show each season, than anyone else. He, like Pauly, is also pretty funny, but ... if you follow Vinny on Twitter, you'll see how he earns back the title of "the boring one". What he writes? - Total snoozefest.

#5 - The Situation - 970,830 Followers
Probably the biggest surprise of them all is how "low" on the list The Situation appears. Especially when you consider how much and to what extent he's exposed ...  Not even breaking the MILLION mark, I guess a lot of people really couldn't care less what he has to say. Reportedly Abercrombie & Fitch is offering to pay the Situation NOT to wear their clothes! They don't like the negative image of him or the rest of the cast and don't want their apparel seen in association with them. Awesome! I wish someone would pay ME to NOT do something!

#6 - Sammi - 829,485 Followers
The self-styled "Sweet-heart" isn't too far off from the Situation, which is actually pretty weird. Definitely the LEAST interesting female cast-mate, when she's not fighting with Ron or crying about it later, she brings nothing to the show. But I guess she's sorta pretty ... especially compared to the other girls, and in entertainment, that means something.

#7 - Ronnie - 728,475 Followers
What to say about him? He seems like a nice enough guy, but a total meathead. He was fun in the 1st season when he was constantly brawling with people on the boardwalk, but then just became exhausting, constantly bawling over his turmoil with Sammi. And aside from a few fitness/vitamin ads, he's yet to craft any other kind of identity for himself.

#8 - Deena - 585,694 Followers
The newest to the bunch is forgiven for having the least amount of the Twitter followers. She'll eventually pass Ronnie and Sammi though. Guaranteed. Especially after this season. Like the majority of her cast, she doesn't have TOO much to offer, but she's blissfully unaware of herself, and let's it all hang out (literally and figuratively) in every single scene she's in. Her energy counts for a lot, making her the most fun girl to watch in the house, next to Snooki.

(S. Money, Jello Shot, The Occurrence, and Fat Tony)

That's it for the main cast members ... But just for a frame of reference, I threw in a couple more "fringe" cast members, so you can see how wide a Twitter Following even the Jersey Shore periphery can extend.

Ryder - 90,955 Followers
Caitlin Ryder, one of Snooki's back home BFFs whose come to visit the house on a few occasions. She's as fun to watch as Snooki is, but easier to look at.

Angelina - 40,867 Followers
Former housemate that couldn't complete season 1 or season 2 before leaving the house (and finally replaced in season 3 by Deena) has a shockingly (although not surprisingly) light following. Nicknamed "the Staten Island Dump" for her curvaceous posterior (among other things), Angelina chooses "deplorable" (even by Jersey Shore standards) every chance she gets. Her latest exploit? A week an half ago, she was discussing her ended engagement and miscarriage on the Father Albert (uhg) talk show. Speculated is that there never even WAS a pregnancy, and if it WAS all in effort to squeeze a few more seconds out of her 15 minutes of fame? ... ... I'd say it was "a new low", but it's Angelina, and it's 2011, so ... yeah.

Uncle Nino - 36,927 Followers
Vinny's crazy Uncle Nino and the PRIME example of anything related to the Jersey Shore that people will follow. I'm not sure he can even READ, much less update a Twitter status, but whatever. People would follow the Duck Phone if it had a page, I'm sure ...

1970 was a Good Year, huh?

I guess you just have to laugh sometimes when you see what was "allowable" back in the days ... Like this commercial for Goodyear Polyglas Tires that ran sometime in the 1970's. This actually AIRED on television, if you can believe that ... Someone thought this up as an ad campaign, presented it, and Goodyear went forward on it, like they couldn't see anything WRONG with it at all ...

Just watch ... shake you head ... laugh ... shake your head again ... And then go out and buy some Polyglas tires to protect the little lady.

Explaining the "WHY" in: "Why are you a Drunken Mess?!"

It's Thursday! Thursday! Gotta get down on Thursday! (god, I miss Rebecca Black) It's the Official/Unofficial start of the weekend, so all you clock-counters are just gnawing at the bit, waiting for the whistle so you can fly out the door like Fred Flintstone, and go get your drink on!

But for all the fun you might have and all the bad decisions you will DEFINITELY make over the next 3 or 4 days, here's something that's Edu-tainmently Enlightening, courtesy of G4's Attack of the Show:

Sister-Sister: Take Two - The REVENGE of Tia & Tamera

It's been a long time coming, but I'm super happy it's here - the most Functional Twins in Hollywood are back on Television with their new reality docu-series Tia & Tamera.

The show had its premiere this past Monday night on the Style Network (E!'s ugly little sister) and it chronicles 2 of the largest milestones in the Mowry sisters' lives: Tamera planning for her upcoming wedding, and Tia getting ready to give birth to her very 1st child.

I've ALWAYS loved these girls. Especially Tamera (she's in my top 5), but it honestly took me longer than expected to warm up to this show! They don't live the lifestyle of excess, like Paris Hilton or the Kardashians. Nor are they "real-life" zany in hair-brained adventures like we know from their 90's sitcom. So the painfully contrived opening scene where T&T are 'dress shopping', griping over leaked engagement photos, and establishing their "We're Twins, but we're SO different!" personas was nothing short of arduous. I was prepared to write the show off as a complete waste of time had it continued in its redundancy.

However, about 15 minutes in, we get to see the larger world in which the sisters exist, most notably Tia with husband Cory, and the show starts to mean something. The two make a really cute, funny and endearing couple, and it's interesting to see them try to manage baby, family, and acting career. (Tia also stars on BET's The Game) And it's the scenes with Tia & Tamera, when they finally forget the cameras, open up, and become real that remind you exactly why you tuned in.

All-in-all, the premiere episode was refreshingly genuine. Tia, Tamera's Maid of Honor, was dropping the ball, what with her full plate, and Tamera was torn between sisterly loyalty, or giving the job to her best friend who'd been picking up all the slack. Good stuff, with notable cameos like Tia's Game co-stars, and real life celebrity friends like Candace Cameron.

If you love the Mowrys, The Game, or just shows about wedding / baby planning, then you will definitely want to catch Tia & Tamera.
Monday nights @ 9 pm on Style.

Greyson vs. Justin: Does he stand a Chance?

In a word? - No.

Ok, a little bit of background in case your not up to speed - Last year, internet sensation and middle schooler, Greyson Chance, fell on the radar due to his buzzworthy rendition of Lady Gaga's hit song Paparazzi. Ellen Degeneres fell in love with him, brought him on her show, and instantly signed him to her newly created label ElevenEleven. Fastforwarding to now-times - Chance's debut album, Hold On 'Til the Night, dropped last Tuesday.

So... What does this kid have in common with our Justin Bieber? ... Uhm ... only EVERYTHING!! I mean, change the name "Ellen" to "Usher" and you have exactly the same kid and story. So then, SHOULD Bieber worry about fighting to maintain his stranglehold on his fickle teen-girl fan base? Not one bit.

Even WITH Ellen's backing, the timing is all wrong. Had Chance come out AMIDST Bieber's rise to fame, a little "friendly" competition would have pushed and benefitted both of them. But jumping in now? This late in the game? The girls haven't outgrown Bieber yet. He's as popular as he's ever been, and Chance, who isn't offering anything new, is just too young to be convincing. (he's 13 years old)

He'll garner a LITTLE something ... Some Twitter followers and such ... (oh, by the way, Follow me on Twitter - @DarkOcean ) But he's not taking anyone's spot. And he won't be carving out his own niche either. Hell, after this blogpost, probably nobody will ever say his name ever again.

Here's his video anyway.
... It's ... "current" ... I guess ...
